The spot has a warm, homey feel, and the brothers who run it are incredibly attentive. Breakfast is vegan-style and really tasty, especially the homemade natural yogurt with the granola they serve alongside it. The four-bed room, with one double bed, works well for a family, and the place is spotless. There’s no TV in the room, and they don’t provide soap or other toiletries. If you’re driving, there’s no on-site parking, though you can park on the quiet street. It’s also just minutes from several sights. I’d come back and recommend it.

The place is cozy and well kept, with kind people and a great location. The cats are adorable too. I found the price a little high, and there’s no garage. Towels cost an extra 10 reais, and breakfast is a very basic lacto-vegetarian spread.

We arrived at night without a reservation because of an emergency, four of us and two little cats in their carriers. The brothers welcomed us with so much care. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was quiet. Lovely decor, nice people, and plenty more to like. I recommend it!

We paid for breakfast, but it wasn’t provided, and the owner acted as if nothing had happened. Cleanliness was only average. The hostel was cold, so I wouldn’t recommend it in winter if you’re sensitive to the cold. Also watch your things around the cats, they pee on them, which made for a really unpleasant stay.

The location is handy, close to Teresópolis’s main avenue and easy to reach by bus. It’s 2 km from the entrance to Serra dos Órgãos Park and near the center, in a quiet, safe, peaceful and pretty neighborhood. My girlfriend and I felt at home the whole time and could come and go freely. The house is spacious, clean, comfortable, warm and quiet, with a large, well-equipped kitchen and a beautiful garden. Our double room was roomy and lovely too. Maria was a charming, excellent host and great to talk with. She even gave us a lift to Serra dos Órgãos Park on the morning we were visiting, since she was going that way. And there are two of the cutest cats in Brazil. A lovely place to rest in an intimate setting.
