Boutique Hotel Marlin's

We spent a very enjoyable week here and would gladly return. It's a lovely boutique hotel in a convenient spot, with caring, friendly staff. Little touches were nice too, like chocolate truffles delivered during the night room service. Breakfast was well presented. We also ate lunch and dinner at the restaurant, but weren't impressed with the food quality at those meals, apart from a good salad. The restaurant is run separately from the hotel. Praia dos Golfinhos, or Dolphin's beach, is a short walk away, where you can swim with the dolphins. Thanks for a delightful stay, and we'd recommend it to others.

The view was fantastic, and both the room and hotel interior had beautiful details throughout. Breakfast was good too, with an ocean view. Just be prepared for a lot of stairs. I also couldn't understand why the bar area by the small pool had nowhere shaded to sit and enjoy food, drinks, or time with a spouse or friends.

The hotel itself is nice, but we couldn't communicate because the staff didn't speak English. Guests told us, “if you don’t speak Portuguese go back to your country this is Brazil”. That made me feel that foreigners aren't welcome if they don't speak Portuguese. To be clear, I imagine this could be a nice place to stay if you do speak Portuguese.

The decor and atmosphere were great, and I loved the hotel. Everyone was polite, and the team gave us the best service with a smile every time. The location is great too, whether you want to relax or spend time in the city's "centrinho".
