The apartment is small but adequate, with good Wi-Fi and hot water for showers. The full-size fridge and stove were nice, though there wasn’t much cookware or many utensils. I did find large ants in the kitchen and bathroom, but a spray I bought got rid of them.
Everything you need is there, and it’s close to the beach and restaurants. A great experience.
The exterior is gorgeous, with a beautiful pool, a bright breakfast area surrounded by glass, and a romantic outdoor seating area. The hotel is centrally located, and the beaches are within walking distance. The service was good, though sometimes a little inattentive. The rooms are comfortable in their layout, but the smell and humidity are terrible, and there are visible wall stains from rot. The decor feels romantic in some places and completely falls flat in others. It’s a cheap hotel, and with a little care and the humidity problem fixed, it could become an amazing, very romantic inn. My only serious issue was seeing a huge cockroach. We hope that was just because Pipa is quite jungle-like. I really think the owners should put some love into the place, because it has a lot of potential. If they fix these issues, it would be my top choice for couples.
The layout is split across two floors, with the bedroom upstairs and the kitchen and bathroom below. I especially liked the lovely balcony and its Paraguayan hammock, which gives the place a bit of magic. The accommodations are excellent.
A few friends were staying there, so we spent some time with them. The duplex room has a really pleasant balcony, and the location is great.
