Pousada d'óleo de Guignard

We booked through Booking, but when we arrived, they said we had to sign in through gov.com to do the pre-check-in. We asked whether it was required, and they said check-in could only be done that way. We left and found another place.

The breakfast was the highlight of our stay. It was served beside a charming wood-burning stove, and everything was prepared right there in the pousada’s kitchen. Service was excellent, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The pousada is a little far from the center, but that didn’t bother us, it was only a five-minute drive to the heart of town. I also want to praise the service, even though I didn’t end up staying there. My children got sick during a whooping cough wave in Rio, and the pousada handled our cancellation promptly and kindly. We’d chosen it very carefully, so it was a big disappointment that we couldn’t go. We hope to stay there as soon as we can, especially after such a good experience with the staff.

If you want peace, quiet, and a beautiful view, this is the place. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the showers were a nice touch, letting us relax while bathing. The breakfast was impeccable, with all kinds of delicious Minas Gerais treats. An amazing spot!
