The hotel is clean and nicely decorated, with nothing looking worn or old, and it has the comfortable feel of someone’s home. Breakfast was all homemade, tasty, and varied, especially the moist coconut cake. After our tiring five-hour drive, we arrived around 6 pm and were so glad to find the tea, coffee, and cookies the hotel puts out daily from 5 to 7. That kind of care for guests meant a lot.

We really enjoyed staying here. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and breakfast was very good. Staff were extremely kind and helpful. There’s tea and biscuits each day from 5 pm in the little area by the pool, and the village center is within walking distance.

Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of local choices and eggs and other things made to order. It got a little noisy in the morning when they started preparing it, but that didn’t spoil the stay. Our room was very spacious, with lots of storage and a comfortable bed; it was the largest room, with a bathtub inside that we didn’t use. The shower was nice too. The place isn’t right in the center, though it’s close enough for about a 10-minute walk. Tiradentes has few great places to stay and most are very simple, but this is one of the best.
