Hotel Pacífico Grupo de Hotéis Mar e Mar

The employees were polite and helpful, but this was the worst place we've ever stayed. It was extremely dirty. The sheets and towels were old, stained, and dirty, and we had to ask for fresh bedding because what was there smelled used. The kitchen was filthy, and the cutlery was greasy. The bathroom was awful too: the shower stall was grimy, the showerhead had a crust of mildew, and the walls were filthy. I've stayed in much simpler places that were spotless. I felt disgusted taking a shower. We didn't check the reviews beforehand, and unfortunately they describe the same issues. Breakfast visibly included stale food. The staff's kindness doesn't make up for the dirt. Since other people have complained, the hotel should do something about it. It's absurd that a place like this is open. Even the fish at reception seemed neglected, its aquarium was filthy too.

The staff were attentive and helpful, and the hotel is well located. Its layout could work for a family, a couple, or someone with a pet. But our stay was really uncomfortable, and I wouldn't recommend it in its current condition. The room hadn't been cleaned properly. There was a lot of dirt under the beds, including an old label and crumpled paper from previous guests. The pillows and curtains were moldy. The towels smelled bad and were very worn, and I had to ask for another set of sheets because the first ones were dirty. The bathroom showed signs of use and needed cleaning; the floor of the shower stall was visibly dirty, so we only showered with flip-flops on. With a small child, it was far too dirty for a first use, and we bought bleach and disinfectant at a nearby market. Cockroaches appeared at night, perhaps because the trash isn't taken out daily. We couldn't bring ourselves to eat breakfast. Cakes, bread, and jams were outdoors with lots of flies and bees, and the employees acted as if that was normal. We've stayed in many places and have had to do a quick clean ourselves before, then continued our stay without trouble. This time it was different. We choose places to rest and relax when we travel, but this stay had the opposite effect. We had to remain for all three days because there were no rooms available elsewhere at the last minute. With proper attention to these issues, the hotel could do well. For now, I don't recommend it.

The staff were excellent, very polite and empathetic, but the room was a disappointment. The sheets were old and stained, the blankets and pillows smelled bad, and the bath towels were like the old ones we have at home. There's a kitchenette in the room, but no dishes or utensils, so it's completely useless.

We loved our stay and were welcomed warmly. Everyone was attentive. The hotel is right in the city center, near the beach, and the view from our room was really nice. We stayed in room 301, a large, attractive room for a couple with AC and a gas stove. The bed was good, though the sheets and towels could be better. The bathroom was ordinary. There is parking, but only a few spaces, and there's no elevator for the five floors. The room's kitchenette has no pots, plates, or other utensils, so ask about those when you arrive. Breakfast was standard, with cakes, bread, hot dogs, eggs, juice, and coffee. The evening colonial coffee repeats the breakfast and costs an extra 19.90, but everything was nicely prepared and presented. We had a great time. Thanks!
