A peaceful, tidy pousada, and you can see how much care the owners put into the details and giving guests a good stay. Breakfast was really good, too. The owners were polite, helpful, and keen to make the experience a great one.

Good value for the money, and I’d recommend the pousada. The pool was lovely in the late afternoon after a day at the beach. Breakfast was very good, with things like eggs and tapioca made fresh when you order. It’s about 10 minutes from Quadrado and away from the bustle of the main street. My room was a little small, as was the shower area, and its window looked straight onto a wall. I noticed that wasn’t the case in some of the other rooms.

We’ve travelled for 20 years, visiting over 30 countries and 24 Brazilian states, and the care in this cozy hotel in Trancoso still made a very positive impression on us. The breakfast experience was wonderful, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Service was thoughtful, too. It’s only an eight-minute walk to Quadrado, so very close.
