Hotel Alpha

Really good.

Really good.

I enjoyed my stay. The air conditioning and shower both worked fine, service was good, and breakfast was very good. The location was good too, with Uber available all the time.

The breakfast really was excellent, with good variety, flavor, and care in how it was prepared. The receptionists on the morning and night shifts were also wonderful, always polite, attentive, and friendly. I booked with good expectations because of positive comments about breakfast and service, and those parts deserve praise. Still, the stay as a whole was disappointing. The hotel was under renovation, which was uncomfortable but understandable. What wasn't acceptable was finding another person placed in my room without any warning. My suitcase had simply been thrown on the floor, which felt deeply disrespectful. I was also told towels are only changed every three days, which doesn't fit the comfort the hotel seems to promise. The manager stood out from the rest of the team in a bad way. Their sarcastic attitude and lack of preparation or ability to resolve a delicate situation were upsetting. Instead of trying to fix things, they chose sarcasm, and no guest should have to deal with that. The hotel has potential, but it urgently needs to improve its internal organization, management's attitude, and basic respect for guests. I'm recording both the fair compliments and the criticism that needs to be heard.
