Tri Hotel Xanxerê

The staff were polite and helpful, and the nearby river made a pleasant sound that helped me relax at bedtime. Those were the brighter parts of my one-night stay. For R$ 240,00, I expected more. That was for a double room with breakfast for two, and I thought the value was poor compared with other hotels of the same standard. The medium-to-small room felt cramped, with only a little table. The standard double spring bed wasn’t very comfortable. The sheets looked dirty and yellowish, and the towels had the same appearance plus a strange smell. The curtains weren’t blackout, so the morning sun hit the bed directly and made it hard to rest. The shower holes were partly clogged too. The elevator doesn’t serve every floor. With lots of bags, I had to climb two flights of stairs and make several trips, which was very uncomfortable. Breakfast had plenty of variety, but some of it wasn’t good: stale bread, low-quality yogurt, and cakes that were a bit dry. I don’t think the stay delivers what it charges for. For that price, I expected more comfort, better upkeep, and more attention to cleanliness.

The room smelled awful and the bedding was dirty. Breakfast ran out within minutes. They charge a lot for very poor quality. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, find another hotel for your own sake.

We paid 290 reais for a room for two adults and a child, after checking in at 9 PM at a special rate. Checkout was at noon. The place felt very comfortable, with great beds and everything else quite nice. Breakfast was full, the kind Brazilians usually serve. It felt like a real luxury, though only just.

I want to thank everyone on the hotel team for being so kind, from check-in and cleaning to breakfast and checkout. Dealing with people isn’t easy, and this crew has a real gift for it. I was also waiting for my invoice, and today it arrived with a kind apology message from the hotel. They’d had a problem with the invoicing system. I completely disagree with the negative comments about this hotel. I think people should show more empathy for others’ work. Depending on technology and systems can bring difficult days.
