The views were beautiful, and we even saw stunning rainbows over the nearby mountains. It’s right by the river, with private access, and although it’s a little away from the main street, the walk is comfortable. The rooms were much smaller than the ones we had in Paro; the rooms at Namsay Choeling were easily 3-4 times bigger. Still, both the rooms and bathrooms were extremely clean. The place is on the expensive side, seemingly charging a premium for its location. We ate dinner there both nights. One night the menu was entirely Indian, and the other featured more Chinese dishes because a large group of Chinese guests were staying there. The vegetarian Indian food was excellent and satisfying. Breakfast was fairly standard, and we mostly had fruit, cornflakes, and toast. A lovely place to stay, though a bit expensive for the room sizes.

The location and beautiful property made a strong impression, and I left Paro with happy memories. The clean, comfortable rooms and excellent restaurant food exceeded my expectations. The female staff team were courteous and coordinated everything efficiently. Their warmth and attentiveness made me feel truly cared for. This was easily the best stay of my Bhutan trip.

The rooms were excellent, and the food and cleanliness were great too. We were really impressed by the hospitality during our recent stay at Hotel Gawaling in Paro. The only rough part was the final stretch of road, about 100 metres, which was in poor shape.

The river view was a nice bonus, though the hotel sits a little outside the main town. Our room was clean and nice, but the food during our stay wasn't good, and a few items were unavailable.

The food was below average, and the rooms were worn and dirty. The air conditioner was extremely loud, while the heater was broken and gave off a burning smell that seemed dangerous. I'd pick a different hotel in Paro.
