Mr. Sonam at the front desk arranged my 4:30 am ride to Paro Airport, despite the bitter winter cold. He was professional and went out of his way to make things easy. I also found the vegetarian Indian food tasty and good quality. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, so it was a very pleasant stay. I’d recommend this hotel.

The location is handy and the view is decent, which are the main pluses. For a budget stay, the rooms are okay, though they’re basic and not premium. The food was average, and service and comfort were acceptable but could be better. It works if you want an affordable place and are fine with basic amenities.

We had a view of the hills and river, which helped make up for a noisy room at night and a bathroom with a slight smell. The service was great, and the hotel itself was good. Food wasn’t bad considering Bhutan isn’t the best place overall for it. I ordered Dal Tadka twice.

Breakfast was a bright spot, with good choices and much better taste than dinner. Dinner was disappointing, and the food was honestly inedible. The room was okay, but the heater didn’t do enough and it got quite cold. Better heating, hot water availability, and dinner quality would make a big difference at Hotel Khamsum in Paro.

We liked the spacious room, good view, and the amenities made for a comfortable stay. Being in main Paro town was handy too, with cafes, restaurants, and the market all within walking distance. The only problem was the buffet food included in our Make My trip tour booking. There wasn’t much variety and it didn’t taste good. Apart from that, everything was great and worth the money.
