The view is pretty good, especially from the north-east side. Some rooms have a balcony, while others have windows that open all the way. The rooms were clean, though they initially forgot to leave toiletries in ours. The location is the hotel’s main draw, with shopping and dining nearby for typical tourist activities. If you’re hoping to watch birds in Paro, you won’t see any here. The food is average, but there are plenty of other options close by. When we ate at the hotel, surprisingly, they were almost out of food with an hour still to go.

We stayed for a couple of nights during Tshechu 2026. The staff were really friendly and even helped my wife into her Kira dress. When I asked for smaller notes, they went out to a shop to get us change. The location is close to Paro Dzong and right in the heart centre of Paro.

The view was great, and the location worked well. But the room had several problems: the main door wouldn’t close properly, and the cleaning was poor. The Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect. I complained several times, but nothing was fixed. The toilet spray was leaking too, and no one took action after I reported it. The food menu was limited, with the same dishes every day.

The rooms are roomy, but the bathroom and bed linens were only average for cleanliness. We visited in January during the off-season, and dinner was included in our package. The meal was very basic. I’m vegetarian and allergic to mushrooms, so they suggested dal, rice, papad, and “vendi sticks.” The vendi was sliced so thin it was very hard. I asked if they could at least make jeera aloo, but they said the kitchen was busy preparing for the many other guests. I had to keep asking before they finally made it. In the morning I was checking out early and asked for just toast and black tea. Again, they said they were busy preparing for other guests. It left me feeling as if I didn’t count as a guest. Very sad. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff were good, and the hotel is close to the market. They served chicken too, but potatoes curry was on the common menu almost every day, along with paneer curry. The food menu could use some improvement.
