The meals were the standout for me, fresh and really well made every time. At Legphel Hotel in Phuentsholing, the rooms were roomy, spotless, and comfortable, and the staff were attentive and polite. It has all the facilities I’d expect from a good 3-star hotel, and felt like great value as a first stop on a Bhutan trip. I had a lovely stay.

The hospitality made a big difference. Everyone was welcoming, courteous, and quick to help, and the meals we had, dinner and breakfast, were tasty and satisfying. Legphel Hotel in Phuentsholing was also very clean and well kept, with spacious rooms that made for a comfortable stay. A memorable place to stay while visiting.

Dinner and breakfast buffets were delicious. We stayed after completing immigration, and the hotel felt very clean and comfortable. The staff made a real effort to welcome our group and help us settle in.

The masala chai was the best part of the meals, though breakfast choices got a bit repetitive and the food overall was average. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful. It’s outside the main city, but taxis are easy to find, so it worked well for an overnight stop after immigration before heading farther into Bhutan.

They upgraded us to a larger room for our birthday, and the staff were friendly. The rooms were tidy and had most of what we needed. Food seemed best suited to Indian tastes. There’s no lift, and there usually isn’t a bucket, so bathing means using the tub. The hotel is quite far from town, and getting a taxi on the highway can take a while. We had to keep waving until one stopped.
