Being just a few steps from Clock Tower Square made it easy to walk to shops, cafes, and nearby sights. Hotel Druk also has a nice mix of Bhutanese character and modern comforts. The rooms were roomy, clean, and cozy, and the staff were courteous and quick to help. We enjoyed the food, with both local and international choices, and the gym and spa were useful extras. A comfortable base in the middle of Thimphu.

I’ve been coming here for ages, and the food is reliably good. The staff are really friendly too, and it’s a calm place when it isn’t too busy. Today I spotted “Trust Me, You Can Dance ~ Alcohol” on the drinks menu. Never tried it, but since I’m not much of a dancer, maybe it’s time to give it a go 😄

The service and food were excellent, and the hotel is right in the center. Thanks especially to Mr. Urgeyn Dorji for arranging the same hotel in Phushtilong as well. I’d definitely recommend staying here in Thimpu.

I first landed in Bhutan in 2002, and Druk Hotel has been a favorite ever since. The food and location have always been part of the appeal, and the renovated interiors make it even better now.
