Hotel Golden Roots

The rooms are good, and the staff are genuinely kind and helpful. There’s a restaurant in the hotel, though the food can take quite a while, so order ahead. Prices there are a bit high, and the service could use some improvement.

The staff were incredibly generous with their time and advice, and the amenities were first class. They leave complimentary water, tea, and coffee in the room. Our weekend getaway was brilliant. The rooms were clean and nice, and the location was great. I'd definitely come back.

We loved the food during our two-day stay and weren't disappointed with it once. The property is well built, centrally located, and the service was good. Our spring bed was very noisy, though, and could do with better maintenance.

The staff were nice and the food was good, but the room had some drawbacks. We were in a corner room, a bit small for three people, with a window facing a construction building. Since we visited in Dec, it was very cold, and there was a shortage of hot water. Even after waiting an hour, we only got warm water.
