The food was great, the service was appreciated, and the windows had an awesome view. The hotel is beautifully kept, with large, well-ventilated rooms and all the amenities. It’s on the outskirts, around 2 km from the city centre. The two problems I ran into were slow, often interrupted WiFi and needing a cab to get into the city, at 40-59 NU per person.

We had a comfortable three-day stay during our Bhutan trip. The hosts are friendly, service is quick, and they accept online payments. The spacious rooms were clean and had the basic facilities, and hot water was available around the clock. Food was good, too. In winter the installed heater may not be enough when temperatures drop, but you can ask for an additional one.

We stayed at the Kisa villa in Thimphu in December 2025. The rooms were spacious and clean, with great views, and had a heater, water, fridge, WiFi, and the other amenities. Food prices were reasonable, but the meals were bland and at times not properly cooked. We had booked breakfast and dinner, yet the set times were breakfast by 9 AM and dinner by 9 PM, whether or not we were hungry. When we asked for something around 8.50, the staff were rude and gave us looks. That left us uncomfortable and we didn’t like it. The stay was decent overall.

The room was really warm, and the service felt friendly. Although it’s outside the main market, it’s near the fortress and has a beautiful view. Taxis make it easy to reach the main market, and I recommend staying here.
