Dzi Apartments

The owner’s family lives right there, and they were kind and dependable whenever anything came up. When a damaged pipe caused a water shortage in northern Thimphu, the owner brought water in from other sources, so we always had enough. The location made daily errands easy, with several large grocery stores recently opened nearby. Ludrong Memorial Garden is close for a break, and Tashichho Dzong is about a 15-minute walk. Taxis are easy to find by the highway, a three-minute walk away. A shared taxi to or from the main town costs 40 Nu, or a reserved one costs 120 Nu. Our room was bright, with big windows, good lighting, and lovely views of Tashichho Dzong, the National Assembly, and Buddha Point.

I felt comfortable and secure throughout my stay, and the clean, well-organized living space made it easy to relax. The accommodation was excellent, and I really appreciated the care that had gone into making the place welcoming for guests. Many thanks for the warm hospitality.

The balcony had a nice view, and the apartment was in a good location. We had a friendly welcome from the owner and staff when we arrived for our family stay. The two-bedroom place was very spacious, with comfortable furniture and large, hygienic bathrooms. It also had Wi-Fi, multi-channel TV, a fridge, washing machine, and microwave. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels and apartments, but this is the first time I’ve felt moved to write a review. I’d recommend it to anyone needing a place in Thimphu, Bhutan. We hosted quite a few dinners and get-togethers here and had a great time. The apartment has a lovely view and is in a peaceful neighborhood, yet town and the park are both nearby. One of my favorite places I’ve stayed. Strong recommendation, 10/10.
