Samye is right in the heart of the city, with tourist spots such as Buddha Dordenma and Simply Buthan museum nearby. We had a great stay, with neat and tidy rooms, humble and friendly staff, and delicious breakfast and dinner.

The hotel is outside the main city area, so it’s quiet. Taxis can be found along the way toward Thimphu main market. The staff are very good and do their best to make tourists comfortable.

You can see buddha from the hotel, and the rooms are clean. The staff are extra courteous, and the food was excellent. They also helped adjust the food to suit us.
