That lovely wood smell hit us as soon as we entered the room, and it helped us unwind after a long road trip. My friends and I had a great time. The rooms and bathroom were neat and clean, with fantastic views.

This has been the worst hotel for us so far in Bhutan. Our check-in was before a few other groups, and the place didn't seem fully booked, but we got a room with a tiny window and no view at all. When I asked reception for a hair dryer, they took my room number and said someone would bring one. After 45 minutes, nobody had arrived, so I went back. They then said other guests had taken all the dryers. I don't know if one was available when I first asked, but nobody thought to update me.

The fireplaces were so badly designed that smoke filled our room and the common hallway, where you couldn't see all the way to the end. We stopped using ours after the first night, but there weren't enough electric heaters to keep us warm. We stayed for three nights, and the water was only hot in the afternoon. The staff tried their best, though it didn't improve the stay.
