This is a convenient city-centre spot, close to good restaurants, shops, and clubs. The rooms are spacious, and the staff are friendly. The dining room food is really good. The room heater and geyser both worked fine, though the rooms aren’t fully insulated, so you can sometimes hear noise.

The kitchen staff, especially the women there, were so warm that they made up for an unsettling welcome from the man who greeted us with green tea. When I asked what water had been used, he seemed angry and rude, which made us anxious at first, though the stay was okay. They could refill the shower caps and provide slightly bigger soaps each day. Construction noise and loud voices were a problem, and the Wi-Fi was awful. Time Bhutan needs to consider lifts and better Wi-Fi. If you want decent local food, go there.

The staff were polite and always ready to help, especially Ms Tenzin and Ms Monica. Our room had an amazing view, and it was very clean, with bright white sheets and towels. Basic toiletries were provided, but there was no dental kit. The hotel is right by the shopping area, with lots of places to eat nearby. I found the food neither especially good nor bad; tastes differ, so it’s hard to judge.

We arrived at about 03:00 AM, and even then the staff kindly waited for us and had dinner ready in our room. It was -1 or -2 degrees Celsius outside, but inside the hotel was so warm I didn’t want to leave. There’s parking, and the neighborhood is super clean. I was there with my band for an event, and the tour guide, driver, and staff were all kind and hospitable. If you’re looking for hygienic surroundings and food, this place is great. Their hospitality made my Bhutan experience amazing. Thank you, Pedling Hotel. Karma and Norbu, you guys are amazing. Tashi Delek!

The washroom facilities stood out, and the restaurant was comfortable, spacious, and well laid out. It’s a surprisingly large hotel with a great setting right in the city centre. The staff were professional, and the food was exceptionally good.
