Chief's Guest House

Our room had a lovely view of animals heading to the watering hole. It came with a mosquito net, eco friendly insect sprays, a very cold plunge pool, and both indoor and outdoor showers. The main lodge area also looks out over the water. The staff were brilliant, especially our guide, Chief, and manager, Loretta. Food was excellent, and the canapés on the evening drives were a treat. We were lucky to see all the big cats, hyenas, wild dogs and honey badgers. This is the best place to see animals, and I couldn't recommend it more highly.

We didn't want to leave and plan to come back to Chiefs Camp. The staff made us feel truly welcome, and the facility was perfect, from the upscale shared spaces to our luxury tent. Our guide Ali was outstanding and knew so much about wildlife and Botswana. Every drive brought amazing animal sightings.

This was our second time at Chief's camp, and after all our years on safari it's still our favorite. The wildlife viewing was fabulous, the staff welcoming, and the locally sourced food and wine well stocked. The accommodations are the kind of comfortable luxury you hope for, with none of the stuffiness.

The design, food and staff were all great, and the wildlife was epic. Within 48 hours of arriving we'd seen the entire big five. In fact, we hadn't even reached Chief's from the airfield when we spotted our first leopard with a kill. Luxury is the only way to describe this place. Great memories.
