Ants everywhere and filthy. It was extremely loud all day, and when the AC quit, it took hours to get help. There wasn’t even a fan. We left after one night, despite having paid for the full week.

Nice hotel in a local neighborhood, about 10 to 15 minutes from the city. There weren’t tourists around, and we never had any problems. Plenty of local food and good prices. I would’ve stayed less time and moved on to San Pedro.

I left after the first night because the room at DB Towers was filthy. Ants crawled all over it, including across my laptop. The counter beside the fridge was sticky and dirty, and the pots and pans were too. I washed them, but then couldn’t cook because the cooktop wouldn’t start. The shower tiles were cracked and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, so I didn’t even try to shower. Half the ceiling lights didn’t work, leaving the room very dark at night, and the AC control wouldn’t respond when I tried to raise the temperature. Those are just the problems that come to mind right away. The room shown on the website didn’t match the condition I found, so I asked the owner for a refund. I got no reply, which didn’t surprise me given how little they seem to care about their reputation. I would never stay there again. Stay away!

You get what you pay for. It might work for one night, maybe two. My room was crammed with furniture, leaving hardly any space for luggage. There were dish racks and dishes but no sink, which confused me. The bathroom had been cleaned but still smelled of urine, and with the door shut, the fan just ran constantly. The sink had no hot water, and the shower only had hot water now and then. The AC smelled dingy when it was on, so it was hard to fall asleep. The staff were helpful with changes caused by my flight and pointed out local places to eat.

The kitchen hadn’t been cleaned properly, and there were no cleaning or dishwashing rags. Cutlery and cooking utensils were all crammed into one small, overloaded drawer. The fridge was dirty inside, outside, and underneath or behind it, while the freezer was packed with built-up ice and had no room. There were no matches for lighting the stove, no medium-sized 10" frying pan or saucepan, and no kettle. The coffee maker was dirty and moldy, and the pot holders were dirty too. In the bathroom, the towel rack was damaged, so the towels were left in the bedroom. There was no hand soap, and the cleaning didn’t seem fresh or thorough. The toilet handle was faulty, and the water kept running until I jiggled it repeatedly. The door was stiff. The apartment entrance door was hard to open and close. The couch may have had bed bugs or fleas, because I kept getting bitten. I couldn’t use the TV because the remote was missing, and the only one there was a DiBo one. The center table was loose or damaged. The dining chairs were dirty and the clock didn’t work. The bedroom needed clothes hangers. I couldn’t use its TV either. There was mold in the closet and the door wouldn’t close. One light was out, another looked ready to burn out, and four spots were empty or had nonworking lights. The smoke detector was open.
