Kokomo Beach Suites

My son and I came back to Kokomo Beach Suites in Caye Caulker, Bellze, a week ago, after staying there two months back, and we weren't disappointed. The management was impressive and the staff friendly, which made it a wonderful stay. The ocean view was spectacular, like having the sea for a front yard. Five stars.

The porch hammock has an amazing view, and the hotel is centrally placed, within walking distance of restaurants, ice cream shops, cafes, and grocery stores, so you probably won't do much cooking. The recently updated rooms are first class and have fully equipped kitchenettes.

This themed place had plenty going for it, especially the location, which reminded me of home in Australia. The operators and locals made me feel at home, and nothing felt like too much trouble. Everything was very clean and tidy, including the linen and bedding. There was hot, hot water if that's a must, though in the tropics I found hot water wasn't really a deal breaker, and some places have older heaters. It was more than adequate for the price and what I found. I came across it while exploring, then actually moved from somewhere else to stay here 🤦🏽‍♂️. I'll be back next year.

The island view from these apartments is the best. They’re right on the beach, very clean and feel safe, with ferries, restaurants, and shops close by. :)
