The Caye Hotel Caye Caulker

The toilet stayed completely blocked even though we followed the no paper policy. The place is near the ferry terminal and main strip, but I imagine there are dozens of friendlier places to stay. At check-in, our middle-aged group was lectured about no drugs, no guests, and rooms being checked before checkout. One person was told to pay attention because he was on his phone. That set the tone for the stay.

The shower was cool to cold rather than hot, which was the only downside. Otherwise, I was comfortable and really appreciated the atmosphere and service. The staff were friendly and accommodating from the start. My spacious room looked just like the pictures, and the hotel was spotless, with linen that smelled amazing. They had an iron available on request, though it wasn’t in the room.

The room was quiet and clean, with no sign of bugs. There’s no fridge in the room, but they provide coolers and ice, which can be even better in some situations. It’s right on Front Street, close to everything, including Central Park and Tropic Air. I’ll definitely stay again whenever I fly back out. Can’t beat it.

We only stayed one evening, after leaving Bella's backpackers hostel because there was zero privacy. The beds were so comfortable, and the shower pressure was amazing. Free toiletries were provided. Construction was happening, but it didn’t affect our stay at all.
