Almond Beach Resort at Jaguar Reef

The swim-up bar is a nice spot in the afternoon, and there are good restaurants an easy walk away. The ceviche at the Big Dock Bar is great, and it’s always fun to watch the Manatee swim by. Don Tonitos has two-for-one pizza on Tuesday, and it’s quite delicious. Fantastic lodging, property, staff, food, and a great stretch of beach. I stayed at the Colonial and have also starlyed at Almond Beach and The Lodge at Jaguar Reef. Good food and fun people.

The dock bar was great, and the staff there were attentive and friendly. Our room was excellent, with a gorgeous view of the beach, and Julio took very good care of us during an amazing check-in. It was my first time in Hopkins, and I couldn’t have been happier with the room and facilities. Almost everything felt like paradise. The restaurant had a strange seating process and a limited menu. The food was good, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

My first visit to Belize and to the Jaguar was a beautiful, unforgettable experience. I have only positive things to say about the resort, except that I feel the staff are very much underpaid for the amazing work they do. They never complain and put in plenty of positive effort.

The suite and grounds are great, and the staff are pleasant and accommodating. Internet and cellular service could be improved, though neither was the most important thing to me. The Paddle House restaurant and bar puts an interesting spin on local cuisine, but it isn’t authentic. The food was disappointing and the service needed work. Some more staff training and attention to detail are needed. I’d recommend staying here, but not eating at the restaurant at any meal.
