Belize Adventures at Long Caye

We got our dive certification here and felt well looked after throughout. There was a nice range of activities, with a comfortable pace and good-quality equipment, plus chances to watch wildlife. The staff were absolutely delightful and the food was delicious. One of our favorite vacation experiences ever.

We'd had mixed experiences with travel companies before, so we came in a little cautious, but Slickrock went beyond what we expected. We're already making plans to return for years to come. The setting around Glover Reef was breathtaking, from the white sandy beaches and clear water to the lively reef. The island felt wonderfully peaceful. We rarely saw anyone besides the other guests, and even reading or swimming felt special there. The local guides were kind, professional, responsible, and clearly dedicated to our comfort and safety. They shaped each day's choices around what interested us, with options including sea kayaking, snorkeling, wind surfing, fly fishing, kayak surfing, surfing, and bird watching. We loved every activity we tried. And the food was plentiful and delicious from breakfast through dinner, including snacks and dessert. One of the lead cooks has been with Slickrock for over 20 years, and her talent and kindness came through in every dish. My wife and I are both 34, and our week-long stay was a 10/10 for us.

Phil arranged the trip from Belize City to the caye and back, which we really appreciated. We had a memorable, relaxing family vacation at Slick Rock Adventures. Keon was great at teaching us wind surfing, kayak surfing, and snorkeling, and Carlos brought so much energy that there was plenty of laughter and fun. The guides were caring and knowledgeable. Carlee and William kept us well fed in the kitchen, and the grounds keepers did a wonderful job keeping the areas clear.

The whole trip was thought through and ran smoothly, and it was well worth the money. Slickrock Adventures is a favorite vacation of mine. It's geared toward active fun but can serve people of all ages. The guides knew the local flora and fauna and were great at teaching the water sports. The chefs made fantastic food, too. The team turned me into a snorkel junkie, and I'll be going back!
