King Lewey's Island Resort

We had the all inclusive package for five nights at King Lewey’s Island, and the trip was so wonderful I don't have enough words for it. Food, service, and atmosphere were all 10/10. Kayaking was a lot of fun, and we snorkeled among all kinds of fish and seashells, even spotting a sea turtle. Jovanni the bartender makes the best drinks and set up a romantic birthday dinner for my boyfriend. Ellis worked so hard to make his birthday special too. The whole staff made sure we had whatever we needed, and Liston the general manager deserves praise for running such a fantastic business. I'll never forget this vacation. Leaving was so hard I cried. We'll be back!

The snorkeling off the dock was a highlight for the kids. We spotted loads of fish and even a big nurse shark passing by, exciting but still in calm, shallow water where they could play. There’s good food too, especially the fresh conch fritters and wraps, and the staff are attentive and friendly without hovering. We had a great time chatting with Lewey, "The King," about how he built the island from scratch. Getting there is part of the day: around 30-40 minutes by boat from the main pier, with dolphins along the way, or a quicker drop-off at a peninsula hotel like ours. The water turns an incredible clear blue as you arrive. Easily our best day in Placencia, and a perfect Caribbean day trip. Highly recommend booking.

We spent 4 nights at King Leweys and had an amazing time. The cabana over the sea was lovely and cost less than other places we looked at. They handled all our transfers from Belize Intl Airport, and everyone on staff was super friendly. The chef also made incredible meals, especially impressive on such a small island.

The slide straight into the ocean was a huge hit, and the water was so clear. We also had fresh lobster. Bring a snorkel and swim under the bar pier, there are a few hundred tropical fish there. Awesome island to visit.
