Diamond Lodge Belize

The rooms were wonderful and so large, with a big closet, coffee, and a fridge/freezer. We also liked the made-to-order breakfast. It was lovely and easy. The pool area felt quiet and almost private since there were so few people around. It was nice to get away from the noise and enjoy the peaceful setting. Highly recommend.

I unexpectedly dropped by looking for an overnight stay, and fell in love with the place as soon as I walked in. It was luxurious, beautiful, and really accommodating. The bed was comfy, and the room had air conditioning, hot and cold water, a flat screen, sparkling wine, and chilled water in a small fridge. Upstairs there’s a master kitchen where you can have breakfast, plus a couch to relax on while enjoying the view. I loved the outdoor pool. There’s also an outside bar with cold beers and a massage lounge by the pool, along with lots of other nice things.

The in-house chef deserves a special mention. He made fabulous breakfasts to fuel our days and even shared a few recipes to take home. I hope he did well in the culinary contest he said he was entering shortly after our trip. He earned a W from us for sure. The staff were so helpful without being overbearing, and had golf carts and bikes ready for us in a flash. We usually treat a hotel as somewhere to leave our things and maybe sleep between exploring, but this place became part of the trip.

The staff made everything feel personal, with a friendly family atmosphere and excellent customer service. They suggested restaurants and activities, the chef made a wonderful breakfast each morning we stayed, and they picked us up and dropped us off at the water taxi. The hotel was modern, clean, comfortable, and in a safe, prime spot within walking distance of beaches and docks for excursions. There was 24-hour security on site, and complimentary bicycles. We also appreciated the onsite spa. Our meal of Belizean rice and beans with coconut shrimp and plantains was great. I’d definitely recommend it to friends and family.
