San Pedro Studios and Suites

Getting picked up from the water taxi was helpful, though it took about 10 minutes for the woman to recognize me as the client. I had no cell connection. There was no water in my unit at first. Since I’ve often found water problems common in Belize, I didn’t worry until the next day. I found a shutoff in the courtyard and turned it on, which restored water everywhere except the toilet. I didn’t ask whether another valve needed turning on, though you’d think someone would mention that. I filled the toilet tank from the shower to flush it. The price gets four stars from me because there isn’t much affordable on the island. Restaurants and other things were about a 20-minute walk away, which was fine for me. The area is definitely poor, but I felt safe enough. Pretty much everywhere in Belize is poor.
