This beach hotel has a small boutique feel, almost like being on a deserted island, and there was never a scramble for a beach chair. Service was outstanding across the board, from bartenders and servers to the cleaning staff, all of whom welcomed guests warmly in a very Belizean way. The restaurant is by far the best on the Peninsula. Looking forward to coming back!

We had a great view of the beach, but the meal at The Bistro Restaurant was a big disappointment. We'd been told it was THE place to eat, so we gave it a try. After waiting more than an hour, our food only came once my husband told a waiter we were leaving. My grilled fish never arrived. Instead, we got two orders of the fish and chips my husband had ordered. They did comp one of those orders. Would I recommend it? Nope.

We were surprised and happy to find no sargassum on the beach. We swam in the pool and ocean, went kayaking, and watched TV when it rained. The restaurant was good at every meal, from breakfast through dinner and happy hour. I especially liked the breakfast parfait, quiche, and Caesar salad. Service was already great, but the staff were especially kind when I spilled coffee on the bed and it soaked through to the mattress protector. I was worried, and the lady at the front desk and the gentleman who cleaned the bedding both reassured me with a smile.

Our family of five had a great stay in the large “Manatee” room. The location was unbeatable, and the restaurant served delicious food.

It has the makings of a great five-star hotel, but it simply isn't. Staff barely lifted a finger, the food was horrible, and management was horrible too. It was an awful experience, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.
