The house was exactly as described online, and we’d happily return. It was in a lovely gated community beside a golf course. Check-in was straightforward, with detailed instructions sent by email beforehand, and the office responded quickly whenever we got in touch. Housekeeping did a fantastic job and came three times a week. The kitchen had everything we needed, so we made breakfast and lunch most days and cooked dinner a couple of times. There’s a very large grocery store nearby.

We found a good breakfast spot in Daniel on the way to Westpunt, but there are only about two options along that route in the morning. If you’re heading to Westpunt early, breakfast takes some planning. Afternoon meals are easy to find, but I wasn’t keen on the resort restaurants for breakfast, and good pancakes or waffles were hard to come by. That said, the room itself was roomy, comfortable, very clean, and had a freezer, fridge, stove, and mini over microwave, so it worked great as a home base. Blue bay beach was surprisingly nice, with some decent coral too. Getting around would be difficult without a car, though. You’d pretty much be stuck at the resort, so I’d stay in Willemstad if I didn’t have one.

The studio was small, but it worked well for the two of us during our two-week stay. We cooked every meal there, and the kitchen had all the essentials we needed.

It’s a beautiful place, though it can feel anonymous and a bit impersonal. There are all sorts of gadgets that keep contact with staff to a minimum. That’s probably efficient, but it didn’t feel very welcoming.

We stayed in villa indigo 20. It’s a cute property, though there’s no AC in the main area. The resort community itself is beautiful, a gated residential neighborhood with rentals for guests. I believe there are four restaurants, and it has a private beach.
