Sandman Hotel & Suites Abbotsford

We stay in hotels a lot for our kids’ sports, and service like this is rare. I have an old back injury, so I need a very firm bed. Sukhman and Harjot kept working on it until they found a way to make the setup comfortable for me. They were kind and helpful, and really determined to sort it out, even though they were busy. I slept very well. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I wanted people to know how well guests are treated here.

Brenda and the rest of the staff made this a fantastic stay. The room had everything I needed, and it was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I’d highly recommend it if you’re after a peaceful night’s sleep.

The staff were great, the location is excellent, and I liked the room layout. The only problem was the carpet. We stayed in two rooms, and in both, it was so sticky that our socks clung to it. The carpets badly need shampooing. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels around North America and elsewhere and haven’t seen anything like it. Apart from that, the rooms were clean.

The tub was the one thing that brought my rating down. It looked clean at first, but I spotted a grayish film on the bottom, and wiping it with clean toilet paper picked up lots of soap scum. The rest of the bathroom was mostly clean, and the room looked clean too. I was there one night for business. The layout was good, with a full kitchen, living room, king bedroom, and bathroom. I didn’t have much contact with staff beyond a brief, good interaction at the front desk, so I can’t really rate service.
