Nova Inn Acheson

I only went there once to pick up my brother, so I haven’t stayed myself. He said the place was OK, and really liked the food at Duke's, pub and grill. He said the portions were big, and the Meat lovers pizza was loaded with meat.

The cigarette smell in our room was suffocating, and even the covers smelled like smoke. We barely slept, then left as quickly as we could the next morning. If you’re not a smoker, stay away. We’d had no choice but to book because everywhere else in the city was sold out for a concert. The rooms and washroom also didn’t seem very clean, bedding included. Luckily, we bring our own sheets and pillowcases. Maybe it’s a great place if you smoke, but I’m warning anyone who can’t tolerate the smell. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this place just wasn’t for us. The older blonde woman at the desk barely smiled and was very dry with us.

Nothing fancy, but the price is right and the room was clean and decent enough. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Darcy was one of the nicest people I met on my trip from WI to the Yukon and on the way back so far. She really showed that she cared and made me feel like I’d met a friend. With my bad knees, she moved me to a room closer to the front doors, helped me get the room door working, and even went to get me ice. I completely enjoyed my stay at this motel.
