Super 8 Amherst

The location was convenient, the rooms were clean, and the staff were wonderful. Becky and Cecilia were very helpful before we arrived and throughout the stay. Kim deserves a special mention for keeping breakfast and the lobby running smoothly.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, breakfast had plenty of choices and good hours, and the kids loved the double bunk bed and the pool. The price was okay, but I would probably try another hotel next time I'm in Amherst. Our room had hard beds, and the sink and bathtub were quite chipped and stained, though they worked. The pool was small, but the slide was fun and fast. Kids swimming in front of it made me worry someone might get hit as they came off the slide. The hotel is right off the highway, which was really convenient, but there's not much sound insulation. A family above us was constantly pounding around from early evening until the 11 PM quiet hour, then the noise started again around 6 AM. We couldn't tell if the kids were jumping off the bed or what. We had an event the next day and needed our kids to sleep, so we asked the front desk to call them. The noise had not been stopping on its own.

The rooms were clean, nicely updated, and comfortable to sleep in. The lobby was a pleasant place to hang out. Service was amazing, especially the night attendant. She was so friendly and helpful, and handled every request while a line of customers formed. She acknowledged everyone so nobody felt forgotten. At breakfast, I noticed the workers kept refilling things, unlike a couple of other places where getting food felt like a chore. I was really impressed by their attitude. Great job.

We stayed here in December 2025, and my two kids and dog enjoyed it too. The pool room and water were both really warm, and the waterslide was crazy fast. We slept comfortably, breakfast was great, and the staff were very friendly. Very impressed.
