Ashern Motor Hotel

The doors were twisted and old, neither they nor the windows locked properly, so we couldn't leave personal things in the room. Inside, there were bad smells and several stains. The fridge had been unplugged and left shut, and the tub had pulled away from the wall. With the wrong trim around it, water was getting absorbed and mold was forming. These are serious health concerns, but the staff seemed just as gross and didn't think anything was wrong. My coworker and I came for work and this was the only place available. We should have just driven home. Don't stay here if you care about your health.

The Indian food is my favorite, especially when I order it ahead, it's so good. I also like the burger platter. I come here to eat because the food is great, and Manoj and Sandeep are welcoming and clearly take pride in their work.

As of May 24, 2025, this place looked like it ought to be torn down. The bathroom was tiny and dirty, and there was no water pressure. A shower left me feeling dirtier than before. The rooms smelled as though they hadn't been used or cleaned for years. Food was undercooked or overcooked, and bar service was practically nonexistent. I've stayed in some rough hotels and motels, but this one takes the cake. You'd have a more fun experience in a trap house.

We went for dinner to support a local business, and karaoke night sounded fun. We ordered two different burgers with fries, a regular one and a mushroom burger, but got two regular burgers instead. They were cold, and there was so much mayo on the bun it was coming apart in our hands. The fries arrived ten minutes later, hot and fresh, alongside the cold burgers. Definitely won't be back.
