The front desk lady was so welcoming and helped us get settled with everything we needed for the night. I stayed at the Baddeck Inn with a few friends while we were in Cape Breton for snowmobiling, and had a really positive stay. Our room was very clean and had what we needed. Having a Tim Hortons right next door was handy for breakfast. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The lake view was great, and the bed was comfortable. Our clean room was well equipped with a fridge, microwave, and coffee station. The grounds, though, were poorly kept, with not a flower in sight. The woman checking us in wasn’t friendly or engaging, and her clothes seemed poorly suited to a front desk job. So it depends what matters most to you.

A lovely little spot on top of a hill, with an amazing view. We were welcomed warmly and got a great restaurant suggestion for dinner. I’d love to come back and try the Domes when they’re added. Definitely worth staying here. Say hi to Bre for me, she was awesome.

It’s a shame this place is in such a lovely location with great views, because our stay left a lot to be desired. The room we were given on September 2nd smelled funky, the rug hadn’t been vacuumed, and the door’s deadbolt had been broken out. Though the handle could lock, a slight push could pop the door open. When I raised this with the woman at the desk, she said everyone has different standards. Wanting a door that actually locks for safety, as well as a room without that smell, seemed reasonable to me. My repeated emails asking for even a partial refund were ignored. Luckily, we found other accommodation at L'Auberge Gisele. Its staff were awesome, and although the room was dated, it was clean and great.

It’s an older motel, a little worn, but clean. Every room has a porch and a view of the bay. Our friends even had a friendly squirrel climb onto their patio screen. They’re adding glamping tents on platforms.
