Room two had a bed on a platform that shifted whenever I moved, and the mattress was old and lumpy. The shower stall was about 28 x 28 inches, turned sideways even though there seemed to be room for a full-size shower or tub/shower. As a tall person, I could barely raise my arms to wash my hair without painfully banging my elbows on the walls. There was nowhere useful to open a suitcase except the bed or floor. The room was so small I could touch the outside door knob while sitting at the end of the bed. There was no chest of drawers, and the desk was too narrow for a large suitcase, a problem if you're staying several nights. Room two backs onto the pub bathrooms. Until the pub closes, you hear people using them. I also heard two people loudly having sex in one of the bathrooms. The hotel itself is non-smoking, I assume, while the pub follows Quebec law. There's an ashtray in the parking lot away from the building, but people also smoked in front of my door using a coffee can. I moved it twice during my four-night stay, but it kept coming back. The door seal was poor, so smoke and the smell of cigarette butts came into my room. That was really unpleasant. I won't be back.

The location was great, and the rooms were lovely and quiet. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows felt old and thin and should be replaced. Do eat at the pub, the food is delicious.

I needed a stop on the drive from Quebec City back to New York, and after nothing worked out in Trois Rivière, I reluctantly crossed the bridge to sleep. It turned out to be a great find. Parking right by the door made things easy, and I was settled in five minutes. The room was modern and very clean, with a spotless, shiny bathroom and what looked like a new shower curtain. The refrigerator was cold and a little larger than a cube size, and the bed was very comfortable. We wanted to explore TR, so we drove back out. It's 14 miles away and took about 15 minutes in light traffic, no problem at all. This is a sister property to a larger hotel a short distance away. The restaurant smelled great, though I didn't have time to try it. The room was around $100 USD for a Friday night, and I'd stay again without hesitation. The area is cute and charming. There is some sound from the nearby highway overhead; traffic was light at night, but with the windows open I noticed it a little. I still slept well and would absolutely return.

The room was spacious and clean, and check-in was quick and easy. Service was excellent and bilingual. We were driving to Quebec City for the Carnaval and came a day early to stay outside town. For about the same price as 2-star motels, this place was much nicer. We'd definitely stay here again on another trip through Quebec.

I picked this hotel because it was the least expensive around and the reviews were good. Both turned out to be true. The room was simple, as expected, but clean and attractive. Reception staff were pleasant and cooperative, too. Because of a medical emergency in my family, I had to cancel, rebook, and then change the guest count. They handled each change calmly and professionally. There's a microwave and toaster in the hall, a propane grill behind the hotel, and a few picnic tables, so making your own meals is easy. There's also a restaurant attached, Pub Cochon. I was trying to save money, so I can't comment on the food. Maybe I'll try it next year.
