Motel Becancour

The receptionist was very nice. The bed was good, and the sheets, bath, and rolled looked clean, but the room, walls, and chair seemed dirty and neglected. There was a damp smell, too. Breakfast was very small and abstract. The place is next to an equestrian venue. Please go to a better hotel, even if it's farther away, so you'll remember something better.

Whenever I'm passing through, I stay here. It's very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the staff, especially Ivy and Steve, are amazing and take care of every detail.

The one plus was being close to the horse show. The room was dirty, the bed uncomfortable, and breakfast very limited. They allow dogs, but there are too many rules for them. We've stayed at 5-star hotels that have no dog rules. I wouldn't stay here again.

We arrived late in the evening and were shown a room that hadn't been cleaned. There were empty beer caps in the garbage, dead bugs and flies on the floor, and a large stain on the carpet by the nightstand. In the hallway, a large man with no shirt on met us, cursing in French. When I objected and went to the office to get my cash back, the owner's wife wouldn't return it, and she had to get him out of bed. He showed us another room, which was decent, but I barely slept, imagining bed bugs. It could have been worse than sleeping in my Camry. Stay away!
