Drake Devonshire and Motor Inn

This was our second visit, and Prince Edward County is close enough to Toronto, about a two-hour drive, that it feels like both a vacation and a staycation. We wanted quality family time and got it. We watched movies, played board games, slept in, and had a delicious meal at the lakeside hotel restaurant. The cozy Drake Motor Inn rooms made it a great surprise birthday for my wife. My son's highlights were the morning scones left at our door and the foosball and ping pong tables 😅. The staff were so friendly and treated us like family. Highly recommend ❤️

We enjoyed our stay in a King room on the lower level, and the food at The Drake Devonshire Hotel was great. The cookies each night were delicious too. But it definitely wasn't quiet: we heard every footstep and movement from the people above us, along with voices from next door and out on the street.

The location was great, the bed was comfortable, and the cookies and scones were a nice surprise. It was a great little place for a girls' trip. One thing still puzzles me: the room art was stickered onto the walls, but there was one actual framed picture hung randomly, showing an image already on the wall. I even checked to make sure it wasn't a camera, haha. It seemed out of place and still bothers me.

My spouse and I have stayed here three times with our dogs, and every visit has been fantastic. The rooms are comfortable, and there's a shared area with coffee and snacks, plus a fire pit. Over the years there have been more food options a short walk away, though the Drake Devonshire also does a fantastic job with food. They now have a sauna at the Devonshire, along with ping pong and other things. We usually walk around town or make the short drive to Picton or the beach. We'll definitely return.
