We were very happy to spend three nights with Pierre and Nadine at Maison Cadorette, in St Jean des Piles at the entrance to La Mauricie national park. Our ground-floor Moïse room had a comfortable bed and linens, a strong hot shower, and a separate sink in the room, handy for a couple. It was bright with natural light, and the blackout shades were appreciated in summer. Pierre and Nadine were delightful hosts. Breakfast had fruit, pastries, and more filling choices, and I especially liked the chia pudding. For our two day trips into La Mauricie, we picked up bakery sandwiches to take along. We hiked Mekinac on the first day, then did Wapizagonke to Waber falls by canoe and on foot the next. Highly recommended as a base for exploring the park!

The parc de la Mauricie is only a few minutes away, which was a real plus. I had a great stay at Maison Cadorette, with cozy, comfortable rooms and a well-decorated space. Breakfast was included and delicious. Thank you!

Pierre and Nadine were warm and welcoming, and we enjoyed their delicious homemade breakfast and very good coffee. Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable, nicely decorated, and recently renovated, just like the common areas. We chose Saint Jean des Piles for the lake Pimbina trail and found it totally worth it, with Maison Cadorette very close to Parc national de la Mauricie. Each room has a name, and the dining area is split into matching private sections to keep covid at bay. Great job. We’d definitely recommend it and visit again.

Nadine and Pierre were lovely, welcoming hosts who kept checking that guests were doing well. They even put on a nice St. Jean concert. Their hospitality made the stay a great experience.

When my travel plans changed, Nadine and Pierre were quick to help sort out the issue and were very accommodating. They’re helpful, understanding hosts, and I’d recommend staying with them. I hope to return on my next trip to Canada.
