Parking across the street was convenient, and the rates were reasonable. We spent two quiet nights at the cozy Newsroom Suites in Wellington, which was very well maintained, with prompt service whenever we needed it. Our suite had a good-sized living room beside a kitchen equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, sink, cutlery, plates, and cups. The spacious bathroom had a large bathtub and a separate rain shower. We went at the end of March, still off-season, so many places were closed or only open on certain days. Bloomfield, with some shops, was a 10-12 minute drive away, and Picton was about 20 minutes.

The hotel was stunning, and the bed felt wonderfully cozy. I was disappointed that the hot water ran out halfway through filling the deep soaking tub, leaving the bath tepid when I’d been looking forward to a relaxing soak. There also didn’t seem to be an ice machine.

We were in town for a weekend wedding, and the location made it easy to walk to everything we needed. Foodland was right next door. The hosts, Katheen and Rick, were warm and welcoming, and the lovely hotel had all the essentials that made us feel at home. The suite was just the right size for a small family with kids. Thank you!

Restaurants, a brewery, shops, and bars are only a few feet away, so the location at Newsroom Suites is hard to beat. We loved staying here. The host was great and everything went smoothly. Can't wait to come back :)

The suites are spacious and tastefully designed, and check-in and check-out were easy. Parking is available, and the location is right in the heart of Wellington. The only small issue was that the AC didn’t cool the rest of the suite beyond the room it was in unless you left it running for hours. I’d definitely stay again.
