The Bloomfield Inn

The room was spacious, amazing, and very clean, with comfortable beds and a private patio. We brought our dog for Thanksgiving, and she loved that it was pet friendly. The internet was the one big problem. It was extremely slow, and even with my own data we had to go outdoors to get a signal. That made remote work unrealistic, and we couldn’t check on our teenagers at home unless we went outside. If they sort out the connection, we’d come back. The pricing also left a bad impression. The room was advertised at $200, then a $100 cleaning fee was added afterward. I understand a cleaning fee for an Airbnb, but not for a hotel or inn. My spouse was completely put off by that, though I talked them into booking.

Room #7, the bell tower, was a wonderful stay a couple of weekends ago. The inn has lots of charm, and its location works well if you’re not sure where on the island you want to go. The nearby brewery and ice cream shop are worth checking out. Our room had fresh, clean linens, comfy beds, practical furnishings, and a fully stocked kitchen. It also came with a pass to sandbanks provincial park and a bottle of sparking wine. The owners aren’t always there in person, but they’re easy to reach and attentive. They seem to have thought of everything. We’ll absolutely book again. Thanks for a great stay!

The owner was the highlight, so friendly and personable, and full of ideas for things to do in the county. We’ll definitely return. Our room was huge, with a couple of bedrooms and a lovely outdoor deck, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location put us close to pretty much everything in Prince Edward County. We had a lot of fun at the attached bistro, especially the delicious breakfast sandwiches. The millinium trail is nearby too, handy for an early morning walk with a warm coffee.

Sabrina welcomed the two of us and our dog again. She’s so hospitable and makes you feel more like a friend than a customer. The Queen Suite had plenty of space and everything we needed was right there. Empire Inn and Suites is within walking distance of everything Bloomfield offers, and the trail starts just behind the property, making it easy to exercise or walk the dog. Great spot!
