The sunsets and scenery were stunning, and the nearby town had plenty to see and do. We spent lots of time at the clean, lovely beach, which was raked daily. The swimming was great too, with clear, warm water and the weeds pulled back. Our campsite was roomy, tidy, and worked well for families with kids. Bathrooms were cleaned every day, and the fire pits were large with plenty of wood for s'mores and other treats. Fishing was easy to enjoy, with lots of different spots to choose from. The owners were easy to reach and glad to answer questions or help out, and everyone we met was friendly and considerate. We had a wonderful week and would happily recommend the resort for a family trip. We’ll definitely be back.

We were already booking another visit before we even left. The weekend at Bonnechere Lodge was so relaxing that we can see it becoming an annual getaway. Bob and Margaret Thomas made us feel at home right away, and we joined them for an evening fireside gathering just steps from beautiful Golden Lake. Cabin #1 was very clean and better than we expected. It had everything we needed to settle in and make meals, including on the rainy day we stayed in, and we could cook outside on the BBQ too. We had an amazing anniversary weekend. Go, you won’t regret it.

Bob and Margaret are warm, friendly hosts, and the rooms are clean and well looked after. The location is great, with a private beach and kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats available to rent by the day or half day. A nice place for a vacation.

Even with the rain, we had a great weekend away. The setting is lovely for reading, relaxing, hiking, or getting out on a boat, and it’s friendly to both kids and pets. You can stay in the lodge or a cabin, or bring a trailer or tent to camp. Bob and Margaret were terrific hosts, and we’ll be back.

We’ve been coming back every year for many years, renting all the cottages for our group. The grounds are beautiful and the cottages are clean, and we love everything about Bonnechere. Bob and Margaret, the new owners, are incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks for such a great time. We have nothing but good things to say about the whole experience.
