Sleep Inn Sault Ste. Marie

The rooms are dated, as others have mentioned, but ours was clean and stayed peaceful even though the hotel was busy. Ashley deserves a special shout-out. She answered our questions and suggested lots of things to do, making our first quick visit to Canada feel special. She was lovely.

Ashley was the star of our visit to Sleep Inn. We arrived in the evening with a truck towing another car full of our belongings, and, since we didn't know the area, we were worried about leaving everything there. Ashley reassured us and let us park in a spot in the light and directly in view of the surveillance cameras. The room and beds were clean and comfortable, and breakfast the next day was tasty. We're heading out of the Sault this morning with a great impression of the hotel and staff. Ashley, you're funny and amazing, and your team is great too. 10/10!

Our pet-friendly room smelled a bit like animals, though it wasn't overwhelming, and it had two double beds with fluffy comforters and two pillows for each person. We needed a dog-friendly hotel, and the treats and poop bags at the check-in and check-out desk were a great touch. The staff member who helped us was amazing and took care of everything, even finding milk for our three-year-old. We'd stay again.

We were allowed to wait in the lobby for a few hours after checkout until our airport shuttle arrived, thanks to the friendly, accommodating staff. That kindness capped off two happy nights at Sleep Inn while we were in SSM for a wedding. Our cozy room on the second floor overlooked the parking lot and neighbourhood, and the king bed was very comfortable. There's no elevator, so the upper floor is reached only by stairs. Wi-Fi was free and easy to join. Breakfast was tasty and complimentary, with eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, and more, and coffee was available throughout the day. The towels were a standout, softer and fluffier than some I've had at high-end hotels. I'd gladly return and recommend it as a budget-friendly stay in SSM.
