We wore our shoes indoors because there was grit and dirt underfoot, and the bathroom was especially rough: stained flooring, lighter burns, peeling counter and vanity finishes, and a used bandage on the windowsill. There was no exhaust fan, which is how we noticed it. The bedspread also had cigarette burns, even though the admin guy who showed us the room was nice and said smoking wasn't allowed indoors. We were two people there for four nights and got just half a roll of toilet paper. There was no room phone, so anything needed a walk to the office. The deadbolt had no key, leaving only the doorknob lock when we went out. Outside, most of the few lawn chairs were broken, and potholes and large bumps made the lot dangerous to drive through. This old hotel needs repairs inside and out. It wasn't worth $120 a night. I have pictures if you want them.

We went through three rooms before settling on the last one, only because it was so late. The bathroom was disgusting, the shower curtain was filthy enough that I might ask for a replacement in the morning, and the ceiling was covered in grime. There's no pride in cleanliness here. Booking online before arriving was a first for me, and it'll be my last. I'd be embarrassed to own or run a business this way.

The room looked completely neglected and cost $120, the same as the other motels nearby. There wasn't any sign of Wi-Fi, soap, shampoo, towels, or other basics. The sheets and pillows smelled like curry, and the bathroom floor had hair and grime. A cheap-looking portable heater beside the bed was the only heat, and there was trash beside the entrance. Since many motels had no vacancy, I took a chance; I had to call a number left at the front desk to reach reception, which wasn't a deal breaker. But the room showed no care at all.

We couldn't wait to get out, so we left as early as our schedule allowed. The photos in the review didn't resemble our room: the sheets were stained, and the furniture looked like random thrift-store finds, including an old office chair and a damp, smelly, stained 1970s armchair. There were no bedside tables. The fridge seemed broken, but it was switched off and leaking. Our room was down a back alley that didn't feel safe, and the unkempt grass outside was strewn with garbage. It felt like we were in the hood. The front counter greeting hadn't been welcoming either, but at short notice this was all we could find. It was the dirtiest, least welcoming place I've encountered.
