Super 8 by Wyndham Brockville

The staff handled it well when I left my makeup and toiletries bag behind after checkout. They called us back and made sure it was returned. The hotel was also quiet, with comfortable beds and clean linens, so I slept well. It was a clean, comfortable stay, and I’d book here again next time I’m nearby.

The price was great, and this is one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed at in a while. The staff are friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the shower has proper water pressure. Breakfast is simple but good, with waffles, toast, cereal, and similar things. Parking was great and the neighbourhood felt nice. We’ll stay here again, and I’d even go a little out of my way on a road trip to come back.

The location is good, with convenient parking and a great view, but the service was the worst part. The front desk guy was very rude, like we were staying for free and he was paying for us. I asked his name and he said Imran, though I’m not sure I heard right because he seemed to understand I was going to complain. I mean the guy working the day shift on Nov 04, 2025. He was also reluctant to give me the manager’s contact information. The manager wasn’t on the property during the three days we stayed. If the manager doesn’t know about this, they should look into it. It’s a good motel with terrible staff, and with that attitude, I don’t think people would come back after their first stay. Breakfast was disappointing too. I’ve never seen a motel without bacon, sausage, or even a fried egg. They only had cereal, a very cold boiled egg, bread and beagles, some old fruit, and yogurt. Nothing seemed fresh.

The location is great, which makes the level of neglect even more disappointing. The rooms are extremely old, smell damp, and are dirty, with badly maintained furniture and an unacceptable condition overall. Even 50 CAD is too much for a room like this. Staff seemed completely indifferent. We told them we had a small child and my spouse has asthma, but they didn’t bother warning the guests smoking marijuana right outside our door. They said no other rooms were available and refused to move us, though other rooms clearly looked empty. We trusted the Wyndham brand and it turned into a complete disaster. I’ll share this experience with Wyndham representatives, and I’ll never stay here again. Don’t stay here. Check the other hotels just one street below, they’re much better.
