I asked specifically for a non-smoking room, and she never said the room was for smokers. The hotel was 80% empty, so it wasn't as if this was my only option. When I opened the door, I smelled disinfectant, but woke up tasting cigarettes. Did she think guests wouldn't notice the smoke? The 1970s decor made it seem like they hadn't even tried very hard to deal with it. Outright deceptive practices. CAVEAT EMPTOR

It's reasonably close to lots of restaurants, and good for the price. There could be more outlets near the beds for charging a phone. I'd stay again.

A clean, cozy room with a really comfortable bed. The concrete block walls kept things quiet, too. I'd give this little motel full marks.

For the price, I'd definitely stay again. It's an older motel, so there are a few condition issues in the room, but that comes with an older building. It looks like they're putting money into making things comfortable. The room was clean, the towels were great, and the bed seemed fairly new and was in great shape.

I stayed at the plains motel in brooks AB for 10 days. The room was cleaned and supplied with fresh bedding and towels every second day, and the staff were very welcoming. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Local restaurants and a steak house are close by. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
