We had no trouble at reception, but the room was a shock. The TV was tiny, the windows were partly blocked, and the black walls made the place feel gloomy. The bathroom setup was especially odd: a revolving door with no lock or privacy, plus an open ceiling to the room. You can only hope bathroom smells don't travel everywhere. We'd paid $60 for breakfast vouchers when booking. Each voucher allowed one muffin, an egg sandwich, fruit, and a drink, and even coffee cost extra. The coffee machine and food were kept behind the desk. We took two more muffins and a chocolate pastry and were charged another $15. For that price, I'd rather have had a proper hot breakfast at a restaurant. Then there were the taxes, over $120 for one night. I usually stay with Hilton, but chose this Alt Hotel on our way back to New Brunswick. I won't return. At least Hilton lets me drink free coffee all day.

On business, this was my third stay at the ALT Hotel in Brossard, and it's become my favorite around Montreal. The free underground parking is a big plus, and the rooms are comfortable, spacious, and well kept. Staff have always been attentive and accommodating. It's easy to get around from here: the hotel sits in a shopping center with plenty of food nearby. La Belle & La Boeuf Burger Bar is a must. The REM is a short walk away, so downtown Montreal is easy to reach without battling the awful traffic. I just wish Germain Hotels would finish fixing the guest rewards program on its website. It's been under construction for more than two years! 😂

I found the bed too soft, though the sheets were comfortable. Light still came in around the sides of the window, so curtains that covered them fully would help.

I had a lovely corner room with a small, practical fridge, and the room was clean, pretty, and nicely soundproofed. The hotel itself is beautiful, and parking was easy and free. Its location worked well for me too. I had an early appointment for my dog at a nearby clinic, and being able to stay somewhere pet-friendly really saved the day. They even had a sweet pet package with a dog bed, bowls, and treats. The staff were extremely friendly. Thanks to everyone for a great stay. I'd happily come back if I'm in the area again.

The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the hotel feels modern with lots of amenities. Shops and restaurants are all within walking distance, so basically everything you need is nearby.
