Our biggest problems were the housekeeping and the rates. Twice, staff ignored the do not disturb notice. That shows a complete disregard for guests' privacy. Then we compared notes with other parents at the tournament and found every one of us had been charged a different rate. We paid $70 more for one night than anyone else. The front desk just shrugged and said “oh well,” explaining only that it was due to room demand. That huge difference, and their lack of concern about the complaint, says a lot about how this location and the chain are run. We'll follow up with corporate, and our team is quite likely to avoid this hotel chain in the future. We stayed three nights for a hockey tournament after a bad winter storm. The rooms were serviceable, though the TV seemed near the end of its life and the bed's boxspring was noisy. The pool had clumps of hair floating in it and probably needed proper chemical treatment. The hotel is being renovated, and the timing wasn't very convenient for guests, though that may have depended on when contractors were available.

If you're in the area, you won't regret picking hampton. The rooms are amazing, clean down to the smallest bit of dust, and well kept. The beds feel like clouds, the food is great and all-you-can-eat, and the coffee bar has lots of options. The staff are saintly angels, always easy to talk to and never argumentative.

The front desk staff were lovely, but that's the only positive I can give this stay. The room had peeling wallpaper and a sink stopper that didn't work. On the second night, I was resting with the do not disturb sign up when two maintenance workers kept knocking and ringing the doorbell to inspect my door handle, even though the sign was hanging on it. The doorbell kept going off late into the evening, and I eventually had to pack everything and move rooms. In the new room, the power supply next to the bed didn't work properly. It was a very unpleasant experience, and I won't use this hotel for business travel again.

We had a wonderful room this trip, and everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. No doggies this time. My only complaint is that the TV channels don't match the TV guide. A minor thing. Thanks to the team at the Hampton Inn, Bolton for a great stay.

The rooms were clean and well kept, and there are plenty of restaurants and stores within walking distance. Housekeeping and the other employees deserve credit for that. Our 2-star rating is solely because the service at this Hampton Inn was horrible. We used the hotel for our wedding block, and it was a nightmare. Guests were scattered throughout the hotel, and the block rate differed from one guest to another. Front desk staff couldn't sort out any of the rate problems without the manager, Donna, and she was never in the office. Over the Wednesday-to-Monday period, no one could even tell us her schedule so we could speak with her. Despicable. Do not use this hotel for a wedding block!
