The little mini-golf place across the road looks great, and hotel guests can play for free. The water is only a short walk away, with restaurants nearby and a steakhouse next door. There’s also a lounge with a TV, seating and coffee machine, plus a patio with tables and a BBQ. The property is spotless, the rooms are a nice size, and you can choose a kitchenette or a standard room with a fridge and microwave. They provide shampoo, soap, lotion and a hairdryer. Such a gem in the middle of Vancouver Island, with the nicest, most helpful staff!

We had a small patio since our room was on the ground floor, and it was nice to have a bit of outdoor space. Parking was adequate, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. There’s a handy coffee and tea machine on the main floor, which we liked better than just having pods in the room, and free mini-golf across the street was a lovely bonus. The location works well for shops and the beach. Our bed and pillows were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The room looked a little tired and could use an update, but it was fine. We’d consider staying here again when we’re in the area.

We found several places for supper with a 5-10 minute walk. The front desk staff were efficient and very pleasant, and hotel guests can play mini-golf across the road at night for free. The course also had a good range of ice cream. Our room was very clean, and it seemed soundproof enough that we didn't wake up to hallway noise. We stayed one night in early September.

The staff are always super friendly, and Parksville is a decent location. Parking can feel a bit tight. There aren't really any amenities, which is why I rated it 3 out of 5, but it's perfectly fine if you're after a budget-friendly stay. I'd stay here again.

We got a good off-season rate for our one-night stay. The place was clean, affordable, and convenient, and the friendly front desk staff were a nice touch. I also appreciated the lounge coffee machine, which had several kinds of coffee.
